{Our 2014 holiday card}

I have a terrible tendency to push things off to the last minute which, coupled with being incredibly Type A, makes for a super strong anxiety cocktail. I’m still trying to finish my shopping before shipping becomes more expensive than the gift itself (here are some of the presents I’m looking to, though), and only just got our holiday cards mailed out.

However, the cards only took me ten minutes. 10 minutes. I’d been dreading the task because I thought I’d need to block off an entire afternoon for it (it always seemed to take a full day when I helped my mom stuff envelopes as a kid, and this is our first time sending them), but I elected to mail mine through Postable. I’ve written about this site before (here and here), and it has been a lifesaver for collecting and organizing addresses. But, they don’t only cater to weddings; they also offer holiday cards (not to mention birthday cards, thank you cards and any other occasion you might need a card for).

It was so simple. I logged into the site where my addresses are stored, picked my card design and uploaded the photo (we attended the Santa Paws fundraiser last weekend, where 100% of the proceeds from taking a photo with Santa went to charity). Then, I quickly scanned through my address book, clicking on all of the people I thought might enjoy receiving a photo of our dogs dressed in costumes, perched on a strange man’s lap. I entered my credit card info, and Postable did the rest (they print, stuff envelopes, stamp and mail them for you.) And then I used all of that extra time to catch up on the Serial podcast, and procrastinate on holiday shopping some more.
