Sorry for the super delayed late night post! I tried to write something snappy and hilarious, but kept getting distracted by my need to barf. I caught a gross stomach bug, and am using that as my excuse for not changing out of my sweatpants all day (although, Tony would probably tell you that’s a choice I frequently make when I’m feeling great, too). I wish I was “just one stomach flu away from my goal weight” like Emily in The Devil Wears Prada, but I can tell you I am at least one flu closer to it! I’ve eaten less than I did during my godforsaken juice cleanse in one day and am too exhausted to be hangry, so I think this one is Tony’s favorite diet yet. I spent the day in bed or the bathroom, the latter of which was the location where our contractor accidentally walked in on me. I don’t know which one of us was more horrified, but I bet we’ll both be talking about it in therapy.

I could barely crawl out of the bedroom, much less get to the store, and our fridge is stocked with lots of frosting and fancy cheese and zero Pedialyte, Gatorade or crackers. Tony had to work late, so he surprised me by having all of the above delivered to our house. We could now stock a nursing home cafeteria. He is the best. I might even thank him for it in my wedding vows, I’m so grateful. The gift of a 6-pack of Ensure was, today, more romantic than any bouquet of flowers he’s ever given me.

I was also so delirious that I read to the end of an article titled 10 Easy Steps to Looking More Photogenic before realizing I’d already read it. At least twice. (And clearly, delirious enough to think that not facing the camera square on or being photographed from the right side might help make me look like less of a dead ghost). I’m going to go back to dodging the dogs from licking puke off my face and feeling sorry for myself. Please leave words of kindness like “You don’t NEED to read about how to be more photogenic!” or share some links to stories I haven’t read several times. Thx!
