gratitude list

The top of this gratitude list belongs to my hubs, all wrapped up like a Christmas gift for Nickelodeon’s Holiday Special tomorrow (December 5th) at 9pm. HAPPY HOLIDAYS I HOPE THIS PIC/THOSE EARS DON’T GIVE YOU NIGHTMARES!!!!!

My Favorite Things

My friend and fellow Groundlings Sunday Company alum Mike Truesdale had me as a guest on his podcast, My Favorite Things, this week (episode #31).

Dallas Clayton’s Instagram feed. It’s beautiful and makes me feel good.

As a (very bizarre) birthday gift for Tony, my mom got us DNA tests for Tippi and Maggie. I was certain that the results would tell us that Tippi is the devil, and Maggie is my biological daughter… However, we were shocked to find out that Tippi is a chihuahua, pit bull, cocker spaniel, chow chow mix and Maggie is a husky, german shepherd, cocker spaniel mix. WHAT.

The fact that you can watch Nick Offerman drink whiskey next to a yule log for 45 minutes.

Every night before she goes to bed, my mom texts me a picture of the vacation she’s on with my dad and Grandma. She always picks one where she looks great and my dad looks sweaty and exhausted.

Loaded up on tequila at Costco on Monday morning. People felt sad for me because I was buying a lot of alcohol by myself in sweatpants at a time that indicated I probably didn’t have a job. I get it. (It’s actually so I can make jalapeno-infused tequila as a DIY holiday gift project, don’t worry, Mom! I’m okay! Still no job, though.)

With Tony out of town, I’ve been doing our night walks solo. I was worried I’d maybe get mugged or kidnapped until it occurred to me I look insane dragging three mutts while I mumble things like “HEEL” or “Do NOT pee on your sister’s head!” and no one would probably want to steal me.

I ate a lot of sushi. And took pictures of it, because I’m a millenial (I think) and my food is art.

I got to teach a team-building improv class at CHLA! (They didn’t need me to teach them the sorority squat, they were already naturals.) Also, for the record, I tried to use the red-eye corrector on my phone and it wouldn’t work on me. Oh well. Maybe Tippi and I are both the devil.

HAPPY WEEKEND! I’m planning on getting our Christmas cards in the mail, watching A Very Murray Christmas and drinking copious amount of wine… I hope yours will be just as glorious.
