Sweet beautiful people! I’m peacing out for a few days… My parents and husband heard me loud and clear on my desire to ring in my 30th birthday on a deserted beach clutching a margarita in one hand and a pile of tacos in the other, and we’re off to Mexico for a long weekend. I won’t actually be dragged kicking and screaming into a new decade until March 17th, but School of Rock premieres March 12th and the next few weeks will be really busy for Tony. So, we’re celebrating early and I’m planning to either drink enough tequila this weekend that I’ll still be drunk when March 17th rolls around, or pack my suitcase full of enough booze to numb the pain when my birthday inevitably arrives. I’m taking the next few days off to enjoy the time with my family, but follow me on Instagram for lots of photos of Tony working out on the beach, me eating buckets of guacamole in bikinis and my mom Purelling herself while hiding in the shade in her SPF 100+ sunshirts. I’ll be back blogging regularly on Tuesday! In the meantime, here are the things that have brought me joy thus far this week…

gift from dad

This gift from my dad. He said, “It might give you cancer, but it will help prevent your future children from getting the Zika virus,” confirming my fear that once I have kids no one will care about me anymore.

Hi Annie, I’ve been a reader for a little bit now and I wanted to comment today because I love the first photo of this post! You look gorgeous! Plus the links you posted were right on point for me today. Enjoy Mexico because that is an amazing way to ring in an early birthday (also obsessed with margaritas) I usually like to drag my celebration out the whole month too ;-)

Amanda!! This is the loveliest note and makes me SO HAPPY. Thank you for the sweet words! I usually believe in birthday month(s), but 30 is hitting me hard and comments like this are even better than a taco-margarita stupor :) I’m so happy you found the blog, and am so grateful for your support!! Thank you!!! X A
