In general, social media is the worst. Everyone creates a carefully crafted image, showing only a cultivated, heavily filtered sliver of their life (I am majorly guilty of this. Anytime I post a food or dog pic, just know it’s usually because I couldn’t muster the energy to get dressed that day.) Trolling Facebook and Instagram tends to bum me out as I scroll through pictures of things I wasn’t invited to, friends hanging out without me, and people killing it in their careers while I’m struggling in mine. So, I’ve decided to limit my social media to things that are funny, inspiring and generally feel-good. Here are the accounts I like to follow because they make me happy:

@theunsungheroines, for a new profile on a badass female athlete that history forgot, daily.

@thecartorialist, for the most stunning and glamorous fashion illustrations + art. (She is a friend and drew a gorgeous piece for our wedding!)

@waitingdogs, because it’s dogs waiting for their owners and its art and I LOVE DOGS.

@livias_kitchen, for healthy takes on bad-for-you-but-SO-GOOD recipes.

@classictxts, for imagined texts the characters might send from all your favorite literature. And movies. And plays. So so so so funny.

@jhonimarchinko, because she is a big time TV writer who makes me laugh always. Her relationship with her housekeeper is the best.

@pumpkintheraccoon, BECAUSE IT’S A DOMESTICATED RACCOON. With a belly. And a dog best friend who looks like Tippi. And better posing skills than me.
