gratitude list

Today, I am beyond grateful to be in Tahoe with my family. I’ve been lucky enough to travel to a lot of amazing places, but this one is the best in the world and there is no better time to be here than 4th of July weekend. (Except maybe our wedding. I’m still working on Tony to renew our vows annually and just have a wedding every year. For some reason, he keeps saying no.) We rolled in at 4am two days ago and spent yesterday in a haze of napping, day drinking, throwing sticks in the lake for the dogs, reading and night drinking. We had cheese for dinner. I’ll probably have cheese (and maybe wine) for breakfast too. Tippi woke us up at 6:30am and Tony said “It’s her vacation too,” so as much of a monster as I am in the morning, it just means more time by the lake. I am so happy.

We’re moving into our new house next week and starting renovations – so next week, I’m taking the week off to have daily panic attacks dealing with that, and we’re doing a Tony Takeover on the blog. Check back Tuesday to see his take on Heels in the Hills content. Have the happiest 4th of July weekend! I hope it is full of dogs, themed cocktails, unhealthy food, boat rides and family. Here’s what I’m grateful for right now…
