Happy National Puppy Day!

I didn't think there could be a better day than Christmas... But then I heard today is NATIONAL PUPPY DAY!!!!! I don't understand why people don't get this holiday off work, so we can roam the streets saving puppies who need homes and forcing our dogs to snuggle. In my heart of hearts, I am an animal hoarder. Were it not for Tony, I would probably (definitely) have an illegal number of dogs. (We're currently at the legal limit with three.) I want all the puppies. My uncle is a veterinarian and my aunt instilled a passion for pet rescue in me at an early age. My dogs are my children. So, in honor of National Puppy Day, I'm celebrating by sharing these photos of our three puppers and reminiscing about one of the greatest days of my life thus far... The day I adopted Maggie "Fats" Magee while Tony was in Vegas at a bachelor party! (Sorry, Tony. NO REGRETS.)View Article

Channeling the 70’s

I'm in the midst of an epic love affair with the Hotel Saint Cecilia. Tony and I recently stayed there on our trip to Austin, became obsessed and now I live there in my dreams. They didn't pay me to write this, but they did give Tony and me the dopest room upgrade of all time to a three bedroom suite, complete with a private entrance, two porches and an outdoor shower. Naturally, a once in a lifetime gift like that calls for a photo shoot! (Pretty much anything in life calls for a photo shoot, in my book. If it's not on Instagram, did it ever really even happen??)View Article

Blue Apron: Groceries Delivered To You

March 19, 2015 12:11 pm Published by Comments Off on Blue Apron: Groceries Delivered To You

I have a serious and real problem where, when I go to the grocery store with a specific list of healthy items, I always end up buying ice cream and overpriced artisanal sodas I don't need, and forgetting at least one ingredient I do need. Plus, when I'm following a recipe, it's rarely possible to buy the exact amount of an ingredient; things are packaged in a way that I always seem to have leftovers, wondering what to do with 2/3 of a carton of buttermilk and 6 cloves of garlic. So, I was super excited when my bestie/bridesmaid Barbara gifted me with a week of Blue Apron, a food delivery service that brings a package to your doorstep containing recipes and the exact amount of ingredients you'll need to cook them.View Article
