Where To Eat In New Orleans (RN but also always)

June 25, 2018 6:15 pm Published by Leave your thoughts

Tony recently went to New Orleans to work, and I went with him to eat. We have a few friends planning trips there who asked for our recs and since society expects us to turn our lives into a free internet reality show & I'm a people pleaser, I decided to be a basic B and blog about it. BON APETIT (in no particular order)...View Article

this is required reading ok: AND NOW WE HAVE EVERYTHING

I am NOT pregnant. This is NOT a pregnancy announcement. But one of my favorite pastimes is fear spiraling about childbirth and what an inadequate mother I'll be one day, so this book really spoke to my soul. Could not put it down. Laughed out loud (and ugly-cried even louder) a lot. Will someone please read this because I can't stop talking about it and Tony is sick of hearing about fourth-degree tears and how I think the author might be my platonic soulmate. Please join my book club party of 1.View Article

The (Not) Real Moms of Los Angeles

January 23, 2018 1:44 pm Published by Leave your thoughts

Super stoked to share LA MOMS, a web series I wrote and star in with my fierce and fabulous friend Hillary Lowe, directed by my equally fierce and fabulous husband Tony Cavalero! The show is about two besties who are highly delusional, highly superficial, highly competitive (and sometimes just high) idiots trying to balance their social status in Hollywood with the shitstorm that is new motherhood...View Article

OVERDUE (my series, & also this blog)

January 18, 2018 3:23 pm Published by Leave your thoughts

I started last year taking a step back from this blog to focus on what I moved to this crazy town to do in the first place: Writing scripts for the big screen (and small screen, and screen in your pocket - any screen that will produce my work so my mom can tell her book club her daughter has a JOB!!!) So, I am feeling very happy and very grateful to have ended 2017 with the release of the web series I worked on as Co-Executive Producer, OVERDUE for Awestruck. Hollywood is hard for all sorts of superficial reasons that nonetheless hurt your heart and soul, and it's also hard for the reasons that have (finally finally finally) been in the news this year. I hope real, lasting, impactful change is coming. I think it is. I am excited to see what 2018 has in store, and I am V excited to share this show I worked so hard on with so many fiercely talented people!View Article

Double Standards

November 20, 2017 5:18 pm Published by Leave your thoughts

2017 has been a real bitch, no? The events of this year, policies of this administration and treatment of women in Hollywood (and in this country) (and in the world) have left me depressed, outraged and generally feeling at a loss. So when my fiercely talented friend Laura Bell Bundy decided to actually do something about the current state of affairs and reached out to see if I wanted to help write for a benefit concert she was putting together called DOUBLE STANDARDS to celebrate women and raise money for the organizations protecting, empowering and supporting women (Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, and the Breast Cancer Coalition), I was all in. Laura Bell is a living example of what can be accomplished when women in power help other women, and is an all-around badass boss bitch. So it's no surprise she was able to get this powerhouse group of ladies together. I was fortunate to get to collaborate on her opening monologue, and she generously agreed to let me share our extended, uncut first draft here!View Article
