In honor of Halloween season officially kicking into high gear, I'm sharing the podcast Tony and I are currently obsessed with: Lore. It's about the darker side of history, featuring the true and very real origins of scary stories. Anyone else as into it as we are??View Article

Fave News Source: theSkimm

September 26, 2016 4:13 pm Published by Leave your thoughts

Do you subscribe to theSkimm? If not, WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE? Oprah reads this newsletter on the daily and so do I, and I really can't think of a better endorsement than that. It's an email blast with the latest news sitting in your inbox every AM when you wake up. Each story is contained and written cleverly - it's like if your super smart, funny, sassy friend called you every morning to give you the scoop on what's happening in the world, and is just long enough to get you through the line at Starbucks...View Article

My Parents’ Trip to Japan

September 22, 2016 4:36 pm Published by 4 Comments

I left the house for the first time last night since Sunday and wrote "September 9, 2016" on a check today. But my parents are living it up in Japan - and since I have nothing in my own life to share with you today, I thought I would share their amazing pictures instead. Despite the fact that my dad doesn't like fish or rice, they look like they're having the best time. I'm told (by everyone) I have enough dogs, but I would really love it if they could bring me a monkey home...View Article

For September's book club pick (coming in at the very end of the month - sorry guys, I just can't get my shit together), I'm selecting my latest, greatest fave novel: Kaui Hart Hemmings' "How To Party With An Infant." It's a hilarious and sweet story about a single mom navigating the intense San Francisco "mom scene," who - in a search for her own identity - enters the San Francisco Mommy Club's cookbook writing contest. I don't have kids, but I found it really relatable - I think anyone can relate to searching for a pack of friends to fit in with, adapting to life's unexpected turns and (especially for me, at this point in my life), trying to achieve a dream that seems unattainable or silly, and make something of your life that you can be proud of...View Article

Emmys Makeup

September 19, 2016 3:27 pm Published by Leave your thoughts

My friend Veronica Sinclair is THE QUEEN of Hollywood makeup. If I had all the money, I would put her on retainer and pay her to do my makeup and hair every day. She's sweet, fun and makes me feel like a million bucks. (I'm not the only one - check out her Instagram for the celebs she styles.) She's dolled me up for every special occasion in my life for the past few years, including our wedding, and I was so happy with my look for the Creative Arts Emmys last weekend, I asked her to share the makeup products she used...View Article
