{Alexis fringe lace dress // Vince Camuto sandals}
I celebrated Labor Day by forcing my loving and supportive husband to labor over taking pictures of me for the blog. It was one of his few days off, and Vancouver is just too beautiful a city to not vogue all over it. I don’t believe in fashion rules mostly because I can’t remember them, and also because I’m OCD and want to continue wearing something I love even 1) when it is no longer “in fashion” or 2) if I’ve already worn it several times this week. SO WHAT. So, a day after Labor Day, I’m boldly going where no proper lady would go and WEARING WHITE. Lacy, fringe-y mini dress white.
If you can even see the difference between my skin and the shade of my dress, you will notice that it is a super cute Art Deco-ish style. My bestie Katierose helped me pick it out for the farewell brunch the morning after our wedding, and I’ve been wearing it non-stop since. I think fringe is one of the “trends” the cool girls are wearing this fall, but I love it because it has a 1920’s Old Hollywood glamour vibe, and is loose enough that you can pack in a few sandwiches with no one being the wiser (except your husband who paid for said sandwiches). This old building is down the street from Tony and my hotel, and I’m always looking for an excuse to take a pic in front of it. While we were shooting yesterday, a passerby asked if I’m “a YouTuber,” so basically I’m winning at life, guys. Hope you had the happiest long weekend and are stocked up on antidepressants to get you through the work week!
{Tony even got in on the posing…}
