{Saylor dress // Madewell suede heels}
A few weeks ago, I visited Austin with my dad and brother and forced my dad to photograph me for the blog, calling it “work.” Proof that the parental instinct is stronger than anything (including common sense, in this case) my dad supported me and my dreams. If you like what you see here, you can check out his first photo spread for Heels in the Hills here – he is available for hire and comes very cheap (free). Please try to ignore the mosquito bites in these pics. I got drunk the first night and thought it would be a good idea to chill by the Hotel Saint Cecilia pool and take selfies (it wasn’t. I got eaten alive and, I’m pretty sure, narrowly missed dying of bug-born illnesses).
I bought this dress to wear to my Bridesmaids’ Luncheon way back in July when I was still legally single. It is what I affectionately refer to as “tablecloth chic.” I love it because it covers my arms, and yet the wind can still blow through the woven lace, so it’s perfect for fall in Los Angeles (which is still in the 90’s). And you’ll be happy to know that it is currently majorly on sale and under $100! Grab one if you like and let’s be twinsies. Happy Monday. IS IT ALMOST FRIDAY YET???
