{dinner last night with my dad + brother}

Last night, Tony and I went out to dinner with my dad, brother and a few of our friends at AOC, one of our favorite spots in L.A. I want to live there, because it’s a dream house converted into restaurant (and I would also like the chef, Suzanne Goin, to live there too, and cook for me until I look like Mama in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape). One of my friends was talking about Tinder and, when my dad heard several people at the table were on it, asked what it was. We explained it to him and one of my friends showed him hers; we were all cry-laughing as we watched the two of them decide who to swipe left and who to swipe right on. When asked what his Tinder profile would read, he replied “If you enjoy going to bed by 9:30pm and long walks on Amazon Prime, I’m the guy for you.” Luckily, my mom also thoroughly enjoys these things, further evidence they’re perfect for each other. We ate 4 orders of bacon-wrapped dates, 2 order of fried chicken, 4 focaccia pizzas, and too many other small bites (and bottles of wine) to count. Now, my body is attempting to recover while I work on cranking out some pages for the web series my friend Kim and I are working on.
