{Tony + me, having the TIME OF OUR LIFE in last week’s American Town Hall show}
Today, I am most grateful that I woke up in Austin, Texas, one of Tony and my favorite cities on planet Earth. We’re not staying at our usual haunt, the Hotel Saint Cecilia, but we are staying at a hotel that offers free margaritas from 4-6pm and has gold ice buckets in the room, so I am a happy lady (and, in a few hours, will be a happy drunk. FREE MARGS, guys. It’s the Hotel Van Zandt, if you’re wondering.) We’re currently in town with my parents supporting my brother and his girlfriend as they compete in the DreamHack competition because my family travels like a herd of wildebeests – if one of us is doing something interesting, everyone else has to come along. We got in last night (Tony was mistaken for a woman at the airport, which made me pee a little from laughing), and as soon as we rolled up, we loaded up on the complimentary booze and went for a stroll along the river. It’s shaping up to be a great, food-fueled weekend and I hope yours is just as wonderful! Here’s what I’m grateful for right now…
Tony playing a beautiful song on his phone… That turned out to be this. I am humiliated for how indie and gorgeous I was proclaiming it to be for the first 27 seconds.
Waking up to delicious breakfast tacos this morning.
Hair graffiti at BENJAMIN.
FAN ART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Baroo: Worth the hype.
My mom’s dog Rigel, who looks like a golden retriever mated with a cow.
Tony, for making breakfast the other day. By “making breakfast,” I mean he mashed several crescent rolls together to make one giant bun, and layered in 3 eggs, 6 pieces of bacon and 2 slices of American Cheese. Each. It took 2 bites to feel full/sick, and then the dogs had the best morning of their lives.
Sweet Texas text from Tony this AM.
This photo in our hotel gym! They jacked Katierose’s bachelorette party game.

FYI, I am fully aware this gratitude list is mostly food. Sorry not sorry. HAPPY WEEKEND!
