Yesterday, School of Rock WAS NOMINATED FOR AN EMMY. I cried. My mom cried. The dog peed in the bed. It was a day full of joy and we are beyond grateful and excited. I’ve written before (many times) about what a shitshow Hollywood is (my friend Allison says it better than I ever could), and also about how very hard Tony worked to get to where he is now. To celebrate, I ran 6.6 miles around our new neighborhood, jumped in the pool and then ate a pile of Tony’s favorite take-out BBQ on some bistro tables we got at the Rose Bowl flea market. Things are insane and heartbreaking and scary around the world right now, and I’m sending love and light out to everyone, and trying to be present and cherish every moment of the life I have. I hope you all have the happiest weekend! Here’s what I’m grateful for this week…
What I see when I look up in our backyard.
A delicious surprise cup of coffee “Philz Way” from my bestie Barbara.
Our freshly painted fireplace.
Flowers from Tony.
A fortune I found on the ground promising that my keen sense of humor will make me many good friends. I HOPE SO!!!!!!
This post, reminding me just how much I love following Humans of New York.
Late night Menchie’s in bed after a long day.
And somehow having the willpower to resist these the next day.
Our backyard, full of friends.
My dream floors becoming a reality.
HAPPY WEEKEND!
