If you love Amy Schumer and her new book The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo as much as I do, you will LOVE Jessi Klein’s You’ll Grow Out Of It. Probably because Jessi is the head writer for Inside Amy Schumer. Also, because she’s written for Saturday Night Live, Transparent, Kroll Show and a million other super funny things. It’s what I’m reading this month and I am INTO IT.

It’s a collection of real-life stories (from her real life. Duh.) She describes herself as an “are-you-a-lesbian-or-what tom man,” and it’s relatable, heart-wrenching at times and always hilarious. I have a lot of favorite parts, among them when she finds the chewed up gum of her ex’s new girlfriend on their bedside table and describes it as “the size and shape of a cat’s butthole,” and also when she categorizes the two types of women in society: Wolves and poodles. You’ll have to read for her amazing and specific reasons of what makes one a wolf, and another a poodle, but it’s pretty great. She covers childhood, heartache, love, career and everything in between. It is really, really, really good.
