black + white + faux fur all over

December 22, 2015 7:47 am Published by Comments Off on black + white + faux fur all over

Lucky for me, Tony was working solely on night shoots when I went to visit him in Texas a little over a week ago, and so he was available to serve as free labor to photograph me for my unpaid blog work during his daytime downtime (HOLLYWOOD IS SO GLAMOROUS, GUYS). I mean, we got upgraded to a suite at the Hotel Saint Cecilia with a backyard and a fire pit, so how could we not have a fashion shoot??? I recently purchased this majestic faux fur monstrosity after a glass or two (or bottle) of wine, and when it arrived a week later much to my surprise, I was even more surprised to discover I also LOVE IT sober. Even though I was sweating balls in it in balmy Austin, I wore it anyway because I am a "slave to fashion" // crazy person. Now that it's the holiday season and finally feels like winter weather-wise here on the west coast best coast, I can't wait to rock it for both fashion and warmth. Although people will probably still look at me like I'm a dipshit when I strut it out in Tahoe, because really, what average human wears this in their street life? (ME. The answer is me, guys. And also Cruella de Vil.)View Article

My Minor Obsession with the PERFECT Holiday Photo

For the latest installment of Coffee With Friends, guest blogger (and one of my best friends // mother to our flower girl Matisse) Barbara King is back with her series on mommyhood in L.A. Even though I don't have kids, I can totally relate to her obsession with taking the perfect holiday photo... Luckily for my dogs, they already posed for photos at our wedding so they got a year off from having to dress up and visit Santa in their stupid dog-elf outfits that I love so much. Here's Barbara's take on getting that perfect Pinterest-worthy pic AT ALL COSTS.View Article

Tony and I threw our annual Snowchella holiday party last night and are wiped out with the happiest kind of exhaustion. I'll share party pics and stories on this Friday's gratitude list, but in the meantime I'm still cleaning up and we're delivering our DIY gifts to our Hollywood people who get us jobs this afternoon, so here is a picture my friend took of me last night and here are the articles I trolled while I was still riding the high of a fun party after the last guest left at 2:15AM...View Article

Jalapeno-Infused Tequila

December 15, 2015 3:05 pm Published by 2 Comments

Booze tends to be the go-to holiday gift because, let's face it, it's basically medicine for grown-ups to get through this insane time of year. I like to over-commit myself to projects I don't have the time or skills for, and doing DIY holiday gifts is on my list of regrettable decisions as of late! Last year, I made rosemary simple syrup and gave them with cute little skull-shaped bottles of vodka. This year, I decided to make spicy tequila because I love it and you're supposed to give the things you love, right?!View Article
