One year ago today was the best day of my life because I got to marry my best friend, my favorite person in the world. Every cheesy thing about love and weddings and marriage is true. It was the most overwhelming moment of things just feeling right (not to mention the feeling of pure joy). I always used to hate it when people would say about finding your person, "When you know, you know," because I have a hard enough time knowing what clothes to put on or what to eat. How would I just know about who I wanted to spend my life with? But then I met Tony in his short shorts and socks and sandals and something in me just said "Oh, it's you." And he's been making me laugh and feel so very loved every day since. Someone recently told me how rare and lucky it is that I actually like my spouse and he likes me. That bummed me out because it's kind of true, but also reminded me just how lucky I am. We don't just love each other, we also like each other. Any time with him is the best time...View Article

This week, I am most grateful that this MONDAY AUGUST 1 IS TONY + MY 1ST WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!! (And you know how much I LOVE anniversaries.) In honor of that (and the fact that I wish every day for the rest of my life could be our wedding all over again), I'm wearing white every day. Follow me on Instagram if you want to see. Also, I'm going to try to get Tony to recite his vows to me and/or propose every day, so maybe there will be some documentation of that as well. I'm so excited to celebrate, and also defrost the top layer of our wedding cake and eat off it every day like a hyena picking at a carcass. IT'S GONNA BE SO GREAT! I hope your weekend is full of as many wedding-related cakes, beverages, celebratory dinners and white dresses (that you hopefully don't spill champagne/cake on). HAPPY FRIDAY! Here's what I'm grateful for right now...View Article
Remember when Solange Knowles got married in a white jumpsuit? I WISH I WAS THAT COOL. (I got married in a princess ballgown instead.) But I've been wanting one ever since I saw her Big Day photos, and came across this one recently. I wore it to my friend's baby shower this weekend and enough ladies asked me where I got it that, when I got home, I promptly forced my husband to photograph me in it. Here I am (smizing behind those sunglasses) in front of our new house... THE QUEST TO BECOME INSTAGRAM FAMOUS CONTINUES!!!!!!View Article
Earlier this week, I shared Style Me Pretty's post featuring our wedding. I had intended to write a big follow up today, a play-by-play of the day and what it felt like and every single joyful little detail... But, you can read about what made our wedding "Pinterest-y" and "special" over on Style Me Pretty. Today, I want to share what truly made the wedding special: The people who were there. We could have eloped (I think my mom still wishes we had), but I am sososososo glad we did not because it meant we got to share the most intimate and meaningful day of our lives with all of the people who collectively have made us who we are. We spent the entire wedding laughing, and ended the night with everyone in a giant circle scream-singing "Sweet Caroline" while Tony and I danced in the middle. My hair was so sweaty and gross and un-Pinterest-y from dancing, my mom braided the matted mess of my own locks (as well as the hair from some stranger in Italy that became my extensions), and twisted it into an impromptu knot, and I got to have a sweet, unplanned moment of just being her daughter again, letting her do my hair. Tony and I snuck upstairs just to look out the window and watch everyone having the time of their lives at the house we love so much. Every time I looked at him that day, he had tears in his eyes like he couldn't believe his luck, and I hope my face looked the same because I am the lucky one. I have never felt happier or more loved. The day was our dream come true. So, here is the rest of our wedding photo album, not just the "pinnable" details, but the people. (And also the dogs. And a lot of me. And all the cry-photos of Tony, which are my favorite.) Thank you so much for being a part of this wedding with me here!View Article
My co-Maid of Honor Katierose wrote the most hilarious recap of our EPIC weekend in Ojai for my bachelorette party... (Because, you know, I didn't put her to work hard enough actually THROWING the party. She had to write an essay about it, too.) Read about the magic of horoscopes, Oprah, our SPA PENTHOUSE and COMPLIMENTARY CABANAS, and a game involving grapefruits and donuts on a string that I still don't understand... I have the best friends in the world and this weekend was a dream come true.View Article
This has been the second best week of my life, because I get to re-live THE BEST week of my life: Our wedding week in Lake Tahoe! Yesterday, our photos were featured on Style Me Pretty. And today, I am keeping that party going with our wedding video (and wedding DRONE video)! CAN I GO BACK? If you're working on a time machine, shoot me your Kickstarter! Until then, I'm watching these on loop...View Article
This Sunday May 1, Tony and I will be celebrating 9 months of marriage... SO I AM SO EXCITED TO FINALLY SHARE OUR WEDDING PHOTOS!!!!!!!!!!! And I am even more excited that they're being shared exclusively by none other than Style Me Pretty. I repeat: STYLE ME PRETTY!!!!!!!!!!! Typing that sentence just made all of my dreams come true. Well, you know, aside from the dream of marrying the love of my life already coming true. (When Tony proofread this, he told me it's time to "dream bigger." Fair enough.) But if you've been following this blog from the beginning, you know what a Pinterest-obsessed cracked-out wedding fiend I am, and you know how very much this means to me. So get on over to Style Me Pretty (STYLE ME PRETTY!!!!!!!!!!!) to see the first look at photos of #TONANNIEwedding!View Article
Did I ever tell you guys about the time I completely lost my mind and bought two wedding dresses? No? (Probably because I didn't want you to know just how crazy I truly am.) But it's officially WEDDING WEEK up on Heels in the Hills, and I'm kicking it off with this confession. "Bridezilla" is a condition for some; for me, it was a full-blown mental illness that caused me to do things like sleep on the streets of Los Angeles like a homeless woman to be first in line for a wedding dress sample sale. I was 12th in line if I remember correctly, but I still snagged this Vera Wang (and lost my dignity.) If we're being completely honest, I also cried last weekend when it wouldn't fit without Spanx. My sweet husband strong-armed me into it, and then took photos of me (almost 9 MONTHS after we got married) in a gown I never wore in our yard while telling me what a beautiful bride I was. Our neighbors probably thought we were batsh*t crazy. They would not have been wrong...View Article
