I started last year taking a step back from this blog to focus on what I moved to this crazy town to do in the first place: Writing scripts for the big screen (and small screen, and screen in your pocket - any screen that will produce my work so my mom can tell her book club her daughter has a JOB!!!) So, I am feeling very happy and very grateful to have ended 2017 with the release of the web series I worked on as Co-Executive Producer, OVERDUE for Awestruck. Hollywood is hard for all sorts of superficial reasons that nonetheless hurt your heart and soul, and it's also hard for the reasons that have (finally finally finally) been in the news this year. I hope real, lasting, impactful change is coming. I think it is. I am excited to see what 2018 has in store, and I am V excited to share this show I worked so hard on with so many fiercely talented people!View Article

Yesterday, Tony wrapped season one of 'School of Rock.' I can’t believe it. The past few months flew by, it feels like they just started a few weeks ago. We went out for an impromptu date last night to celebrate with sushi and movie ('San Andreas,' funniest movie of the year, we loved every minute) - and in the car ride, we were both saying that it still doesn’t feel real. I remember so vividly Tony going for a run at Runyon Canyon, and his team calling and telling me to go find him it was so important they speak to him immediately, and him running home just as I was about to drive out in the middle of rush hour to search for him dodging cars on Laurel Canyon Boulevard and tell him to get in. He called them back, and put it on speaker phone so I could be a part of the moment, too. They told him he booked the role, and I started sobbing...View Article
I’m writing this at 12:04am, so it is officially my 29th birthday! I just got out of the Jacuzzi that Tony and I splurged on to ease our aging, aching backs... (Okay, I’m being melodramatic. We’re not that old, even if I’m “Hollywood old.” We’ve just wanted one for years and finally bit the bullet. It’s amazing.) Now, I’m chilling in a bathrobe with a face mask on, thinking about what I am looking forward to in my last year of being in my twenties.
