Tony and I got back from Davis last night, just in time to perform in two shows - him in American Town Hall and me in Bad Company at The Groundlings. (Is that grammar correct? I don't know. We were out celebrating/eating cheese fries until 2am and I haven't had my coffee yet. Mom will email me to let me know if it's not.) Both shows were a stupid amount of fun. As was our trip to Davis... We got to spend some much-needed quality time with my family, check lots off the wedding To Do list, and eat so much you'd never know I recently suffered through a juice cleanse and Tony suffered through a wicked bout of food poisoning. I'd like to say I'm going to chase down the wagon and crawl back onto it immediately, but the truth is I will probably continue my binge streak through the weekend... I'm forcing my girlfriends to come over to participate in Bridezillannie's Wedding DIY Sweatshop, and I'm planning to make lots of treats to take the edge off. I hope yours is full of manic DIY'ing, wine and bestie time, too! Happy weekend!View Article

I'm having the hardest time selecting the outfits for our ring bearer and flower girls for our upcoming wedding. So far, everything I have come across is too expensive, too ridiculous, or just gives me the creeps - it's shocking how many appear to be wedding gowns for child brides or made for tiny street performers. Here are a few I will NOT be choosing...View Article
It would seem that my goal is to make all of my loved ones hate me by August 1... Can't write/shower/be a productive member of society today, I'm too busy forcing my parents and fiancé into wedding DIY indentured servitude. Welcome bag assembly, here we come! TONY, DO YOU STILL WANT TO MARRY ME????View Article
I'm a total creeper and love to stalk people's wedding websites. (Probably a creeper for other reasons too, but we'll keep it specific to this blog.) I get such a rush trolling strangers' photos and love stories, seeing where they're getting married and why, how he/she proposed, judging they've registered for. (You are a dirty liar if you tell me you don't judge wedding registries... OR I'm just a jerk.) So, for a little karma, I'm sharing our wedding website publicly! I bought a subscription for it to be hosted through the luxury wedding website company Riley & Grey, and the kind folks over there offered a 50% discount to the first 50 readers who use the code HEELS at checkout for their own wedding websites! Read on to creep Tony and my site...View Article
I’m writing this at 12:04am, so it is officially my 29th birthday! I just got out of the Jacuzzi that Tony and I splurged on to ease our aging, aching backs... (Okay, I’m being melodramatic. We’re not that old, even if I’m “Hollywood old.” We’ve just wanted one for years and finally bit the bullet. It’s amazing.) Now, I’m chilling in a bathrobe with a face mask on, thinking about what I am looking forward to in my last year of being in my twenties. Here's my bucket list - 29 things to do in my 29th year:View Article
Today is my last day of being 28... Tomorrow, I enter my last year of being in my twenties. Which is absolutely insane. Tony and I recently drove past a billboard for a new TV show and I started running my mouth about how the girl on the poster looks just like me and why didn’t I get to audition for that part?! Then, Tony nervously responded, “Maybe because she’s 19?” So, yes. I’m embarrassed to publicly admit it, but in my head, I still look exactly the same as I did in college. (Only with better hair.) Truthfully, I’m happier now than I have ever been, and I’m glad I’m not in college anymore. But, I’m a perfectionist and had a “life list” growing up that doesn’t exactly match up with where I’m at now. I thought I’d be an in-demand writer-actress, married, spearheading a successful book club, waking up early to go to yoga every morning, spawning a few future doctors, you get it... But, I’m not as far along in my career as I’d like to be. I’m the dictator of an online book club, so I guess that sort of counts. I’m still unable to do the splits or touch my toes, and my “work out” often consists of me lifting 3 lb weights while parked on the sofa, watching Scandal. Tony and I are both “creative types,” and given both of our history in math and science classes, I think it’s pretty unlikely we have any doctor genetics hidden in us. Our kids are much more likely to join the circus. Or worse, pursue a career in writing and acting. But, the married thing is happening this summer! Tony is the best thing to ever happen to me. So, if one thing I hoped for myself could actually come true, I’m so lucky that it is him.View Article
Tony and I got our engagement photos!!!! Confession: We actually got them a while ago. This summer, to be exact. Our beautiful, wildly talented, sweet sweet friend Robyn Von Swank took them as a favor to us because we love her, and she shot our poster and promo shots for our Groundlings show TONANNIE, and we needed her photos to be a part of our wedding, too. She did gorgeous work, even though she's a famous Hollywood photographer who doesn't shoot weddings, and made me look and feel beautiful. We were so excited, and so in love with the photos. And then we submitted them to Style Me Pretty in hopes of being featured, which has been my dream pretty much since Style Me Pretty was created (I am a true wedding obsessive. Always have been.) And they said no.View Article
